TBE 521 support stand
Indispensable equipment in a HGV workshop, a support stand provides complete safety when working beneath heavy goods vehicles.
Characteristic use of support stands
The SEFAC TBE 521 support stand belongs to the low support stand range. These are traditionally used when working on tyres, brakes, bearings, steering, etc. The SEFAC TBE 521 support stand has a unit capacity of 14 tonnes and permits retaining a heavy vehicle in a raised position via its axle in a relatively low position (310 – 450 mm).
Its classic usage is after lifting via an oleopneumatic jack in order to free a wheel. Thanks to its low weight of 15 kg and its small size, TBE 521 support stands can be used in your workshop or easily transported in a utility vehicle during outdoor interventions (e.g. replacing a wheel after a puncture on one of your fleet vehicles). Its small dimensions are equally suited to supporting vehicles with a low ground clearance.
Safety first thanks to support stands
The use of stands or trestles are particularly necessary when lifting with hydraulic jacks. Oleopneumatic lifting jacks risk leaks (even if slow ones).
The support stand, practical auxiliary equipment
Once the support stand is in place, it allows you to re-use your lifting equipment for other tasks in the workshop. They can be used to complement oleopneumatic jacks, wheel remover dollies, pit-edge hydraulic jacks and king pin presses.
